Off to Melbourne tomorrow for the Formula One...
Catching the 4:55am train tomorrow, which means getting up before 4am. It’ll be worth every bit of sleep I’ll be missing, that’s for sure. Staying the night in Melbourne with the cousins, and by then I’ll be all revved up for Sunday! I know I say this about everything, but I really can’t wait; I’m looking forward to these two days an unbelievable amount....

V8 fans of a more recent generation (as I) remember the good coverage Ch10 gave us.
Since the V8’s has been on Ch7, they have treated us with nothing but contempt. No live coverage and clauses in the rules for each event that a race has to finish at a certain time to please Ch7.
Don’t get me tarted on AFL/V8 clash weekends.
Not even the Bigpond Broadband stream is live.

Jason Richards sure is one inspirational person. He’s currently battling stomach cancer and is going through intense chemotherapy. Yet today, he drove in the Fujitsu V8 Development Series (the main support series to the V8 Supercars), and won the race. An absolutely stunning and courageous drive. It may have been a one-off, but all hats of to you J.R. All the best with your recovery too.

ADELAIDE CLIPSAL 500
One of the marque events on the V8 Supercar calender; it always has been. The racing is always guaranteed to be hot, gruelling, entertaining, and surprises all around! With the added forecast for rain this weekend, it’ll be the first wet Clipsal in 10 years. That will throw everything into the mix, boy oh boy! Looking forward to another fantastic weekend of racing. :D

Watching V8Xtra.
I don’t care what anyone else thinks, this is honestly one of my favourite ways to spend my weekend. Just sitting back, relaxing on the couch, watching a talk-show about my favourite thing in the world. And it’s even better sitting here watching the race meetings when they’re on. But nothing tops actually being there live, at the track. :D
